What We Believe:

China Grace is an independent Chinese church within the evangelical, Reformed theological tradition, reflected in confessions such as The Westminster Standards of Faith, The Heidelberg Catechism, and The Baptist Confession of Faith.

Scripture
We believe that the Bible is inspired by God, and therefore infallible and profitable for teaching, rebuke, correction, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). The Bible reveals God, his work of creation and redemption, and our duty to him.

Our Triune God
We believe that there is only one God, existing eternally in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our triune God is infinite, eternal, unchangeable, all-powerful, all-knowing, wise, holy, just, good, and true.

Creation and Fall
We believe that God created all things in heaven and on earth, all very good. He created humans in his own image to fellowship with him and represent his rule as king. We believe that the first man and woman rebelled against their creator and brought guilt, moral corruption, and judgment to all the human race.

Salvation in Christ
We believe that because of his love, God sent his divine Son to earth to save us from his anger toward our sin. We believe that God's Son became the man Jesus Christ, while remaining God, and lived a life of obedience to his Father, died on the cross for our sins, was raised from the dead three days later and exalted to God's right hand, where he reigns as king and will come again to judge the living and the dead. We believe that all those who believe in him, trusting in him for salvation and submitting to him as Lord, are joined to him in his death and resurrection, receiving his righteousness, being adopted as a child of God, being blessed and made alive by his Spirit, and given the hope of eternal life.

The Church
We believe that those who trust in Christ are joined with his body, the Church. The church is the assembly of those who believe and are baptized into Christ, gathering to worship God in prayer, hearing of his Word, and partaking of the Lord's Table. We believe that Christ has given each believer gifts to serve his church for its good. He has given the church elders to govern, teach, equip, and discipline the church and deacons to serve the needs of the saints. He has called the church to proclaim the message of the gospel and make disciples from every nation.
